OUR MISSION

Both Sides Now is a Non-Profit Organization,

Dedicated to the education and celebration

of gay lifestyles on Maui.

It is important that as a community our values and ideas are shared, valued and heard. Our ideas and contributions, no matter how small can change the world and community we live in. This sight is dedicated to the distribution of Maui LGBT information and the growth of its community's participation. We all need to take part in this commitment. Lets join together to make this community strong.

Both Sides now, Inc. has been incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization since 1981. A Board of Directors (BOD) oversees and manages the entity in elected terms of no more than two years run concurrently. As required by law, a charter or bylaws have been written and amended as the organization has grown, and changes and new ideas were introduced.

The purpose of Both Sides Now, Inc., is to promote cooperation, support mutual representation, and educate the sexually diverse population of Maui and the State of Hawaii. As a community of primarily gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered persons we form friendships and establish connections to perpetuate a loving form of social interaction.

We serve the community by maintaining a web site, sponsoring social events, raising funds for our programs and worthy causes, and working to educate and support everyone in practicing safe sex. We seek to establish full social equality, legal rights, equivalent benefits and privileges, and respect for all persons of sexual diversity. We seek to share our abundant Spirit of Aloha with all among our Island Ohana.

This site is maintained by volunteers, so keeping information current depends on the communication between all parties. We will do our best to include photos and imagery that convey our message and represent our community in a positive, cohesive light. More information will be added about our organization and its members. If anyone does not want to be included on our site, please let us know.
